Default Double/triple tome weekend

Has this ever happened?

I remember dyes, greens, keys but I can't remember about a tome weekend.

That would be nice, I for one like to learn all skills on my chars and therefore make large use of tomes.

Sorry if this has already been suggested, I couldn't find it in the sticky.

im like, 98% sure it hasnt (although i think i can remeber it happening QQ). Imo wouldnt be too bad of an idea.

a weekend event that only affects HM PvE? maybe if they opened up tome drops in normal mode for the weekend, and tripled them in HM it would make a little difference, but I wouldn't expect a lot of people to get excited about it since it's neither fun nor helps with grind titles.

hmm... they would have to make it HM only due to presearing as puff has mentioned, maybe triple chance of a normal tome and double chance for an elite tomb?

They are rare items, so they are included y double/triple rare item reward weekends.

Nothing strange about that. Unless you know a way to vanquish in NM or in PvP, then a vanquishing weekend only affects HM PvE. Many weekend events are restricted to a particular set of players: EotN rep weekends, double-faction weekends for competetive missions, GvG weekends, etc.

This could be actually interesting - a farming weekend that's not only about degenerate exploiting of that Raptor cave, but more about finding new spots full of mobs that can drop tomes for desirable professions.

Still, even at x3 rate it wouldn't be a money-making weekend - I doubt any single location would come any close to profits from currently best farms thanks to just triple tomes. It would be more like a fun event or a slight bonus for farmers/vanquishers that would do their stuff anyway.

Still, a 100x better weekend idea than double/triple dye drops (which is a joke), better than double rewards for vanquishing weekend (this would give the vanquishing people a similar extra value from the tome drops) and better than higher greens droprate weekends (tomes at least will get used up fast and won't flood the market for ages)

I don't see any possible major problems with this kind of weekend and while I wouldn't probably actively participate (I rarely PvE at all nowadays),
I /approve this idea.
